Summervibes Fort Lauderdale.
First, thank you to everyone who helped us bring this vision to South Florida.
Our iLDS Crew traveled, spent their own money, booked rooms, worked through the rain and handled all the craziness that comes with putting on an event away from home. There’s no crew we’d rather have behind us, and we couldn’t have done this without them.
We also want to thank the City of Fort Lauderdale for taking a chance on us and giving iLDS the opportunity to bring Summervibes to Fort Lauderdale Beach. We wanted to show that the automotive community could come together, respect the space and do things the right way and that’s exactly what happened.
The weather definitely wasn’t on our side. We dealt with rain, cloudy skies and much less normal beach traffic than we would’ve expected on a typical Saturday. But the cars still came out. The vendors still showed up. The food trucks pulled in. And most importantly, South Florida got to experience Summervibes.
That meant a lot to us.
We’ve had people in South Florida supporting I Love Driving Slow for YEARS who have never been able to make the trip to one of our events. Bringing the experience to them was one of the biggest reasons we wanted to make FTL happen in the first place.
And after seeing what the first one could be, we’d love to bring Summervibes FTL back.
With the continued support of our audience and the South Florida automotive community, our goal is to return sometime in Fall 2027.
Nothing is locked in yet, but if you want to see Summervibes back in Fort Lauderdale, keep supporting it. Share the coverage. Support the brands and vendors that were part of it. Grab the merch. Tell your friends about it. The support for the first event is what gives us the opportunity to make the next one happen.
We also have to thank everyone who came out to The Gathering Friday night. It gave us a chance to meet so many people we’ve only known through social media and finally connect with the South Florida community face-to-face. Special thank you to Nax Whitmore and FortuneMinds Garage for the hospitality and giving us a home for the night.
